Known as “the voice of the voiceless” for many years of speaking out about issues relating to working class people of color, prisoners, and more, he was targeted and framed for the murder of a cop in 1981. He was convicted on perjured testimony and manufactured evidence.

In late 2018, the Philly DA’s office announced discovery of 6 boxes of undisclosed evidence. These boxes were illegally withheld from Mumia’s prior trial & appeals. The evidence is damning w/ patterns of prosecutorial misconduct, including bribery & racist jury selection.

Mumia’s attorneys are litigating the new evidence, which was introduced into the record in Common Pleas Court, that could potentially reverse the conviction. This newly discovered evidence includes one key witness who may have been bribed to testify against Mumia.

On October 19th, a judge said she will issue a ruling on the petition to remand the case back to the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas. It is critical that we pack the court on this day, which is the 3rd Wednesday in October. Save the date in your calendar!

In late 2018, the Philly DA’s office announced the discovery of 6 boxes of undisclosed evidence. These boxes were illegally withheld from Mumia’s prior trial and appeals. The evidence is damning with patterns of prosecutorial misconduct, including bribery and racist jury selection.

Mumia’s attorneys are litigating the new evidence, which was introduced into the record in Common Pleas Court, that could potentially reverse the conviction. This newly discovered evidence includes one key witness who may have been bribed to testify against Mumia.

On October 19th, a judge said she will issue a ruling on the petition to remand the case back to the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas. It is critical that we pack the court on this day, which is the 3rd Wednesday in October. Save the date in your calendar!

We may be see some rain today, but the struggle continues rain or shine, and so does #RDTW! Bring a rain/windbreaker jacket, dry pair of socks, umbrellas, etc. There will also be some canopy coverage and Ponchos if needed. Temperatures look to stay around 71 degrees.
